Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the snorting courses, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
