The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
