۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 And Pharaoh sent heralds unto all cities, 53 (Saying): "Verily! These indeed are but a small band. 54 They are always harassing us. 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 We deprived them (the unbelievers) of gardens, springs, 57 And treasures and agreeable mansions. 58 Thus [We turned them (Pharaoh's people) out] and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 At sunrise, they followed them. 60 And when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa (Moses) said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 He said: By no means; surely my Lord is with me: He will show me a way out. 62 Then We revealed to Moses, 'Strike with thy staff the sea'; and it clave, and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
