And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 About what they used to do. 93 Therefore publicly announce what you are commanded, and turn away from the polytheists. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
