The people of Noah rejected the Messengerss. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They replied, "Are we to believe in you when your followers are but the lowest of the low?" 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 Their account falls only upon my Lord, were you but aware. 113 And I am not to drive away the believers. 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers." 118 Wherefore We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 Then We drowned the rest afterwards 120 Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
