Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you! 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 Labouring (hard in the worldly life by worshipping others besides Allah), weary (in the Hereafter with humility and disgrace). 3 They shall roast into the scalding Fire, 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 On that very Day some faces shall be radiant with joy, 8 With their effort [they are] satisfied 9 In a high Garden 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 And chosen goblets. 14 and arranged cushions 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Do they never reflect on the camels and how they were created, 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 Other than him who turns his back and denies, 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 for behold, unto Us will be their return, 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
