Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble, recording, 11 who know all that you do: 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
