And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 and then Our torment will strike them, 206 none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
