The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven breaks apart. 1 and gives ear to its Lord, and is fitly disposed; 2 And when the earth is spread out 3 and throws out of itself all that it contains 4 obeying its Lord, as it must do! 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand, 7 he shall surely receive an easy reckoning 8 And he will turn to his people, rejoicing! 9 But he who is given his Record behind his back,- 10 he shall call for destruction 11 And he will enter a Blazing Fire. 12 He lived rejoicing among his people, 13 for, behold, he never thought that he would have to return [to God]. 14 Yes indeed; his Lord had sight of him. 15 I do not need to swear by the sunset, 16 And by the night and all that it enshroudeth, 17 And by oath of the moon when it is full. 18 that you shall surely ride from stage to stage. 19 What is the matter with them, that they believe not? 20 And, when the Qur'an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah)? ۩ 21 Nay, but they who are bent on denying the truth give the lie [to this divine writ]! 22 God is quite aware of what they are storing in their hearts. 23 Therefore give them the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 24 Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail. 25
Almighty God's Truth.
