The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Verily your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
