1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 So the sentence of our Lord has come to pass against us: (now) we shall surely taste; 31 “We therefore led you astray, for we ourselves were astray!” 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Verily, thus shall We deal with all who were lost in sin: 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 on couches facing each other. 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 They will go to one another asking each other questions. 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 [And] he adds: "Would you like to look [and see him]?" 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 for had it not been for my Sustainer's favour, I would surely be [now] among those who are given over [to suffering]! 57 Is it then that we are not going to die, 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 So is this welcome better, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 Then most surely their return shall be to hell. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 and rushed to follow them. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 and We had sent among them Messengers to warn them. 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
