The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
O thou shrouded in thy mantle, 1 Arise and warn 2 And thy Sustainer's greatness glorify! 3 And your garments do purify, 4 Pollution shun! 5 And bestow not favors that you may receive again with increase, 6 And persevere in the way of your Lord. 7 When the Trumpet shall be sounded, 8 that day will be a harsh day, 9 For the disbelievers - not easy. 10 Leave Me (to deal) with him whom I created lonely, 11 And to whom I granted extensive wealth 12 And sons present by his side. 13 And made life smooth and comfortable for him! 14 Yet he desireth that I should give more. 15 Never will he receive more. He has been hostile to Our revelations. 16 I will cover him with arduous torment. 17 For he thought and he plotted;- 18 May he be accursed, how he planned! 19 Again accursed be he, how evilly did he decide! 20 Then he looked, 21 Then frowned and grimaced. 22 Then turned he back, and grew stiff-necked. 23 And said, "This is not but magic imitated [from others]. 24 It is nothing but the word of a mortal' 25 Him shall I fling unto the burning. 26 And what do you know what Hell is? 27 It does not allow to live, and neither leaves [to die,] 28 and it burns the flesh. 29 Over it are nineteen. 30 And We have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire, and We have fixed their number (19) only as a trial for the disbelievers, in order that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may arrive at a certainty [that this Quran is the truth as it agrees with their Books i.e. their number (19) is written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and the believers may increase in Faith (as this Quran is the truth) and that no doubts may be left for the people of the Scripture and the believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and the disbelievers may say: "What Allah intends by this (curious) example?" Thus Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He. And this (Hell) is nothing else than a (warning) reminder to mankind. 31

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
