We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
