We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and at night.
