Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Quran! 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." 3 We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 thus offering an insight and a reminder unto every human being who willingly turns unto God. 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 and the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba': every one denied their messengers, and so My warning came true. 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15
