Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 and the partitioners, 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
