▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
There are two gardens for one who fears standing before his Lord. 46 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 47 Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);- 48 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 49 In which, will be two fountains running. 50 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 51 In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds. 52 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 53 [They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low. 54 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 55 Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. 56 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 57 (In beauty) they are like rubies and coral. 58 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 59 Shall the recompense of kindness be aught save kindness? 60 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 61 Besides this, there will be two other gardens. 62 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 63 green, green pastures -- 64 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 65 In these there will also be two springs gushing forth. 66 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 67 In both are fruits and palms and pomegranates. 68 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 69 In these [gardens] will be [all] things most excellent and beautiful. 70 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 71 Houris (beautiful, fair females) restrained in pavilions; 72 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 73 No man or jinn ever touched them before. 74 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 75 Reclining upon cushions green and carpets beauteous. 76 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 77 Blessed be your Lord's name, full of glory and majesty! 78
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
