Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 In a book that is protected 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 If he is among the near 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 If it is of those who have rejected the Truth and have gone astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
