And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 Then there comes to them that with which they are threatened, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 We never destroyed a village that did not have warners 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 And thy movements among those who fall prostrate. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227
