Kingship (Al-Mulk)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things. 1 Who hath created death and life that He might prove you, as to which of you is excellent in work. And He is the Mighty, the Forgiver. 2 He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw? 3 Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall come back to you confused while it is fatigued. 4 And We adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and made them things to stone Satans; and We have prepared for them the chastisement of the Blaze. 5 The chastisement of Hell awaits those who disbelieve in their Lord. What a wretched destination! 6 When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. 7 Well-nigh it bursteth with rage. So oft as a company is cast thereinto, the keepers thereof will ask them: came there not unto you a warner? 8 They say, 'Yes indeed, a warner came to us; but we cried lies, saying, "God has not sent down anything; you are only in great error. 9 They will say, "If we had only listened or understood, we should not now be among the inmates of Hell," 10 Thus will they confess their sins. Damned are these inmates of the Blazing Fire. 11 Indeed for those who fear their Lord without seeing is forgiveness, and a great reward. 12 Whether you conceal what you say or reveal it, God knows best all that the hearts contain. 13 What! Will He Who has created not know? Whereas He knows every detail, the All Aware! 14
