He it is Who made the earth smooth for you, therefore go about in the spacious sides thereof, and eat of His sustenance, and to Him is the return after death. 15 Are ye secure that He who is in the heaven will not sink the earth with you and then it should quake? 16 Do you feel secure that He who is in the heaven will not loose against you a squall of pebbles then you shall know how was My warning. 17 Those who went before them belied [the truth]: then how great was My rejection of them. 18 Do they not see the birds above them flying wings spread out or folded? Nothing holds them aloft but God. All things are within His purview. 19 Who is he besides the Most Beneficent that can be an army to you to help you? The disbelievers are in nothing but delusion. 20 Who is he that can provide for you, should He withhold His provision? Aye! they persists in perverseness and aversion. 21 So is one who walks inverted upon his face more rightly guided, or one who walks upright on the Straight Path? 22 Say, "It is He who brought you into being, and made ears and eyes and hearts for you, yet you are seldom grateful." 23 Say: He it is Who multiplied you in the earth and to Him you shall be gathered. 24 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 25 Say, "God alone has knowledge of that; and I am only a plain warner." 26 When they realise it has come upon them, distraught will be the faces of unbelievers. They will be told: "This is what you asked for." 27 Say: "See ye?- If Allah were to destroy me, and those with me, or if He bestows His Mercy on us,- yet who can deliver the Unbelievers from a grievous Penalty?" 28 Proclaim, “He only is the Most Gracious – we have accepted faith in Him and have relied only upon Him; so you will now realise who is in open error.” 29 Say, "Have you considered: if your water was to become sunken [into the earth], then who could bring you flowing water?" 30
