Nay! By the moon 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 A warning to mankind, 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
