Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 even though he might make up excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
