Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 until an appointed time? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
