Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
