Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Have We not made the earth a repository 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 To end all argument or to warn. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
