Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
