The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when the souls are paired 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 Every soul will then come to know what it has brought. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where then will you go? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
