Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 who has created and shaped, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
