And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, – 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
