Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
