Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
