We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
