Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
