Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am nothing but a warner. There is no deity but Allah, the One, the Supreme, 65 He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, the Majestic and All-forgiving". 66 Say: It is tremendous tidings 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 “What did I know of the heavenly world, when the angels had disputed.” 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 Said he, 'I am better than he; Thou createdst me of fire, and him Thou createdst of clay.' 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 and My curse shall remain upon you till the Day of Resurrection.” 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 (God) said: "You have the respite 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 [Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 Said Allah, “So this is the truth; and I speak only the truth.” – 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
