The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful 1

All praise unto Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. 2 The Most Gracious, the Dispenser of Grace, 3 Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. 4 Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek. 5 Guide us on the Straight Path. 6 The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. 7

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
