The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
