The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sun and its heat and brightness, 1 and by the moon when she follows him, 2 by the day when it brightens the earth, 3 And by the night as it conceals it (the sun); 4 And [by] the sky and He who constructed it 5 By the Earth and its (wide) expanse: 6 And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it 7 And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness, 8 He who nourishes it will surely be successful, 9 and those who corrupt their souls will certainly be deprived (of happiness). 10 Samood gave the lie (to the truth) in their inordinacy, 11 when the most wicked man among them rose up. 12 The Messenger of God told them, "This is a she-camel, belonging to God. Do not deprive her of her share of water". 13 But they called him a liar and slaughtered her, therefore their Lord crushed them for their sin and levelled them (with the ground). 14 He has no fear of its sequel. 15
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
