The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the night when it covers 1 and by the day when it breaks in its glory, 2 By Him Who hath created the male and the female, 3 Verily, [O men,] you aim at most divergent ends! 4 As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) 5 and confirms the reward most fair, 6 Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 and he belied the finest 9 Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. 10 and what will his wealth avail him when he goes down [to his grave]? 11 Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide, 12 And indeed the Hereafter and this world both belong to Us. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 who rejected the Truth, calling it falsehood and turned his back on it. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 And gives of his wealth that he may grow in virtue, 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 but only to seek the good pleasure of his Lord Most High. 20 And he shall soon be well-pleased. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
