The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extending columns. 9
True are the words of God the Almighty.
