Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
