(Muhammad), tell them to travel in the land and see what happened to those who rejected the Truth. 11 Say: "Unto whom belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth?" Say: "Unto God, who has willed upon Himself the law of grace and mercy. He will assuredly gather you all together on the Day of Resurrection, [the coming of] which is beyond all doubt: yet those who have squandered their own selves - it is they who refuse to believe [in Him,] 12 ۞ His is whatsoever dwelleth in the night and the day; and He is the Hearer, the Knower. 13 Say, "Shall I take as my protector someone other than God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, who feeds all and is fed by none?" Say, "I have been commanded to be the first of those who submit. Do not be one of the polytheists." 14 Say, “If I disobey my Lord, I then fear the punishment of the Great Day (of Resurrection).” 15 He from whom it is averted on that day, Allah indeed has shown mercy to him; and this is a manifest achievement. 16 And if Allah touch you with affliction, there is none to take it off but He; and if He visit you with good, then He has power over all things. 17 He is the Supreme above His creatures; and He is the Wise, the Aware. 18 Ask: "Of all things what is most vital as evidence?" Say: "God (who) is witness between you and me that this Qur'an has been revealed to me that I may warn you on its strength, and those whom it reaches. Do you really bear witness there are other gods with God?" Tell them: "I bear no such Witness." Say: "Verily He is the only God, and I am clear of what you associate (with Him)." 19 The People of the Book know him (Muhammad) just as well as they know their own children, but those who have lost their souls will not believe. 20
