Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 until an appointed time? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
