This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 What shall that which they enjoyed avail them? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest [alone,] 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
