Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
