And the day when We will raise up a witness from every nation – then there will be no leave for the disbelievers, nor will they be appeased. 84 And when the wicked shall face the torment it will not be decreased, nor will they be reprieved. 85 And when those who have associated will behold their associate-gods, they will say: our Lord! yonder are our associate-gods upon whom we have been calling beside Thee, they will proffer them the saying: verily ye are liars. 86 That Day shall they (openly) show (their) submission to Allah; and all their inventions shall leave them in the lurch. 87 Those who disbelieved and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, for them We will add torment over the torment; because they used to spread corruption [by disobeying Allah themselves, as well as ordering others (mankind) to do so]. 88 The Day will come when We raise up in every people a witness against them from amongst themselves, and We will bring you as a witness against these people. We have sent down the Book to you to make everything clear, a guidance, and a mercy, and glad tidings for those who submit to God. 89
