The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
