۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 besides God, and show them the way of hell. 23 “And stop them – they are to be questioned.” 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 [To which] the others will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were bereft of all faith! 29 We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 And had it not been for the favor of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought up. 57 Then, are we not to die 58 “Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?” 59 This is certainly the greatest triumph 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 They can only return to hell. 68 They found their fathers had gone astray; 69 and rushed to follow them. 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers); 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
