Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
