And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
