And indeed Nooh prayed to Us – so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
